One of the most promising topics in the mining industry in Russia is the development of the resources of the Arctic and continental shelf. Experts will traditionally discuss key issues in the oil and gas industry at the RAO / CIS Offshore forum. The event is held every 2 years. Over its more than twenty-five-year history, it has acquired the status of the main international platform in its field.
In 2021, the forum is being held on the instructions of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation A.V. Novak.

For professionals in the oil and gas industry and related fields, such as shipbuilding, offshore operations and underwater operations, the RAO / CIS Offshore 2021 exhibition and conference is an opportunity to see new technologies and to get answers to the most pressing questions. The program of the event is formed under the coordinating role of the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation, the Russian Academy of Sciences, PJSC Gazprom, as well as the active participation of leading Russian companies involved in the implementation of large oil and gas projects in the Arctic and on the continental shelf.

In 2021, RAO / CIS Offshore will host special round tables “Arctic and Marine Medicine”, “Arctic Materials Science”, “OSH Requirements for Floating Platforms” for the first time. Forum delegates can also take part in off-site technical seminars with visits to industrial enterprises and scientific organizations of St. Petersburg (Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute, Krylov State Research Center, as well as supplier exchanges for the needs of large customers).
There is also a Youth Session for the best young scientists and specialists.
