Farnborough Airshow 2020 — Overview of Show Features

From July 20 — 24, 2020, the Farnborough International Airshow will be held in Farnborough, bringing the world’s aerospace community together for a week of major deals, leading-edge innovation and one of the best flying displays on the circuit. 

Remaining exhibition space is severely limited, with the show having broken sales records. It is also set to be the most globally attended Airshow to date, with the highest ever number of international pavilions.

Amanda Stainer, Farnborough International’s Chief Commercial and Partnerships Officer, says: “We’re looking forward to our best-ever Airshow".

“Urban Air is at the heart of the show, with the world’s biggest single showcase of technology and innovation transforming how the world flies. We have a wealth of other show features and highlights, and are creating a flying display that showcases the very best in commercial and military aircraft.” 

In addition to strong sales throughout the show’s exhibition halls, chalet demand has also been high — positive trends that will hopefully translate into strong deal announcements at the show.

Overview of Snow Features

Urban Air — Brand new for 2020, the Urban Air Zone will host the innovators seeking to fundamentally change flight through the development of urban air mobility, one of the fastest-developing markets in aerospace.  
 
Aerospace 4.0 — an exhibition focused on the fourth industrial revolution and digital technologies transforming aerospace manufacturing, it is to be increased by 60 per cent this show.
 
Research and Innovation — a showcase of joint ventures between prime companies and forward-thinking engineering universities; Research and Technology Organisations and the agencies that support them.
 
Cargo — major growth in e-commerce is fueling demand for cargo, fundamentally linking this sector to the global economy. The Farnborough International Airshow is the only opportunity to see freighters on the ground, in the sky and being loaded.

Space —  the July 2020 Airshow will see its biggest space exhibition yet. Major international representation will see the largest ever presence from China.

FINN Sessions — the Farnborough International News Network will bring insight, thought-leadership and debate to the exhibition halls in two dedicated theatres. FINN Sessions run throughout the show with an extended programme planned on Thursday 23 July with a focus on innovation and concepts in the incubation stages of the innovation cycle.

Friday — The Airshow has the power to excite and engage like nothing else. Friday 24th will give exhibitors the opportunity to engage with an aspiring audience who have career and development interests in aerospace and aviation. The day is set to unite organisations from across the supply-chain with a new-generation for the industry through inspiration and innovation.
