Build and create trust in the workplace — at UFI Global Congress 2019 for event industry professionals

The UFI Global Congress 2019 for event industry professionals will be held in Bangkok from November 6 to 9. There is the issue of trust in the workplace among relevant questions.

Exhibitions as platforms of trust are the focus of this year’s congress, but what about trust within the workplace? How can we create and build trust among staff? With leadership? What about within an international environment with staff from different ethnic backgrounds, ages and gender, spread across a world where employees are increasingly working remotely? 

To address these questions, the UFI HR Management Working Group created a Special Interest Group (SIG) at the UFI Global Congress in Bangkok, Thailand. The session scheduled to take place on November 7, and will be co-hosted by Enio Gualandris, H.R. Director, Fiera Milano (Italy), and Robert Heinemann, Heinemann Management Consulting GmbH (Germany), who will look at how a lack of trust among colleagues and in leadership is the source of many difficulties within the workplace, including information retention, individualism, demotivation and high employee turnover. 

By building trust, employees can work more efficiently as a team towards collective intelligence and are more motivated on the whole. They also enjoy increased job satisfaction and a greater sense of purpose.
